The good people of Clitheroe have solved the mystery!
Just days ago, we shared our quest to reunite Mr and Mrs Fox – two beautiful countryside friends, impeccably dressed and full of character, who were separated by time and circumstance. We bought the elegant Mrs Fox from Holden Clough Garden Centre just before Christmas, only to discover that her dapper husband, Mr Fox, had been sold the year before.
As we prepare to open Thistle & Thorn Books in Clitheroe Town Centre this spring, we dreamed of bringing this charming couple together for a special window display.
And thanks to the incredible detective work of the Clitheroe community – particularly one eagle-eyed Facebook user who proved that the best kind of fox hunting involves sharp observation and a generous heart – Mr Fox has been FOUND!
The reunion is within reach!
This heartwarming story is everything we love about Clitheroe: a community that comes together, shares local knowledge, and creates a little bit of magic. Whether you helped track down Mr Fox, shared the post, or simply smiled at the idea of reuniting these two smartly-dressed characters – thank you.
Mrs Fox will be delighted to know her wait is nearly over.
